7 ways to do family yoga this easter

Family time is fun and Easter brings us together for a looong weekend which also gives us ample time to create the yoga spirit with our family. We all know how hard it is to initiate someone into yoga so hey! What best time to talk about it, perhaps practice some and not just asanas but the yoga spirit. Wishing that some of it will rub on the family one way or another eh?

Lets try these 7 steps into family yoga this Easter.

1.Hugs should be heart felt. Give all a longer special hug and make the first morning hugs lasting and meaning ful. OPEN YOUR HEART CHAKRA GUYS. Morning is God’s time:)

2. Say om namah shivaya instead of hi ! Now a lil Vedic Sanskrit can be enchanting sometimes. After all they will end up asking you- what?? And you will say ‘I bow to the lord within you’ Will make them smile, try it.

3.Show them the latest posture you have done or better still teach a younger one some yoga moves. Yoga can be infectious you know and it will definitely get someone getting up to try it.

4. Create a game called ‘Benefits of your exercise’. Make everyone speak about how they benefit from their running or cycling or gym or dancing. And then speak about how yoga benefits you?

5.Make a promise to have calm energy around you over the weekend. This will not only be a conscious practice for you but calm energy rubs on people around you as well. Its a well known fact!

6.Take an easter basket with you- doesn’t have to be huge! A tiny one with some paper slips in it. Write a yoga quote on each one of them and let each family member pick theirs and read out loud.

7. This one is the easiest- Enjoy, love, and be in the moment- if you are doing these things they cant help but follow… such is the power of Now!Easter thank you from Yogamasti
