Yoga’s physical aspect and the correct use of breath in the posture activates our energy centers(chakras) which in effect controls the functioning of the qualities of  mind. Yogic exercises aid in developing an acute alertness which is actually the meditative state of mind. Since mind lives in the body, Yoga helps in bringing them together, so that mind doesn’t run ahead of the body which it always wants to.
