The European kundalini Yoga festival held in sunny France just a couple of weeks ago was the highlight of our experience this year to say the least. We at Yogamasti took the plunge and went to france to meet some kundalini yogi’s. Little did we know that what we are about to face is pure energy, a lot of sheer hard work and lots of beautiful and some crazy moments.
We arrived and found that Aanika had a bed in the dormitory but poor Katia had to sleep in the tent:) She did enjoy herself or she said she did! Its held in gorgeous lake side location and is full of interesting plants and shrubs, almost forest like. The whole place was buzzing with Sikh kundalini mantras of wahe guru and it was full of tents , all shapes colours and sizes.
We decided that we would get up for the morning practice at 4.30 and so we did! Though extreme exhaustion took the best of its toll on us we got so hooked to the morning practice and the beautiful melodious mantras music they played early morning that we got up ALMOST every day at that time. Mind you, we were also working till 10.30 every night:)
From shining morning stars to profound meditations and wahe guru sounds in our ears, each day became more relaxed and we were at peace. We were so ignorant that when we arrived at the white tantra tent with our white bandanas!! Boy did I look funny:)! we did not know what the day will bring. BUT the very first kriya did it for me. The so powerful kundalini Shakti amazed my senses and I still feel so blessed. What to say! Both katia and me were crying healing tears for most of the time:))
I so miss my tantra partners. Each one was simply so beautiful and giving and loving.
The whole place was so charged that even a sheer divine moment took our breath away, like when we looked at the soft pink in the clouds or a special ray of sun or when we actually saw the double rainbow!! wow! the memories are still very strong … and yes when it started to rain and the music filled the air with such precision! it felt like we were in heaven. There was no worry at all- it was magical. I wonder why its not so magical now when I am at yogamasti’s desk:(!
So ,khichdi’s everyday with French bland leaves ,beetroot and carrots for dinner every night, watermelons!! yes, they were the highlight of the day for me every day. I was cheeky some days and got 4 pieces instead of 2:) they were divine, cold and veryyyy sweet. We will never forget the lovely people we met there and will definitely return to this European kundalini yoga festival. Wont miss the white tantra for anything. We all need to release our pain bodies and let go and heal with powerful meditations every year .
Do go if you get a chance but hey! it is sheer hard work, but on yourself, work we do to evolve.
I think I feel very attached to the experience 🙂
