Is this Yoga?Among numerous perceptions of yoga by teachers and students alike, yoga is in fact a most scientifically developed, acutely effective system of inner concentration resulting in peace of mind.

Hard to achieve right?

What exactly is this yoga? What does a practitioner do? The effects of this practice? on body and the mind? Why is it hugely popular? Is it religion? Some think it is. I think its spiritual practice with a practical approach which helps attain peace through asanas and pranayama by being in the body.Some claim its a science of human harmony.Some praise its is a healing power.

You can only find the truth with your own experience of it. If you are a beginner in Yoga, don’t try and perceive it as anything but a practice that will take you to higher goals. Of the body and the mind.Yoga is a practice that does not impose on you but is a freeing process. Basically yoga energises you to a level which touches your life. You will find it immensely pleasurable and fulfilling. It will enhance your experience of simply being as you concentrate on your breath.

Don’t be taken in with all the different names given by different people:) Watch your body and watch your mind while practising. Listen to your breath and try to stay present. Most doifficult is to stay present. You will find that your practice will get addictive! Such is the quality of yoga! So, when it happens simply watch your attachment to your addiction! So just watch. Be a witness to whatever you touch, feel, experience, hear and smell and that is actually yoga -to me.
