Yoga Practice Outdoors

yoga practice outdoorsWhile I am taking a walk through my local park I feel a great sense of freedom and wish to bring my yoga practice outdoors. Being surrounded by nature can really intensify your practice as it offers many stimuli to prepare your mind and body – gazing at an awe-inspiring view, having the sun to warm up your body, breathing in fresh air filled with all the spring aromas and grounding yourself.  It becomes easier to experience stillness and surrender to the present moment as you align yourself with mother earth, life and creation.

After all yoga means to unite and what a better place to feel unity between yourself and the universe than in nature? Tranquillity and peace.

Let’s honour yoga and ourselves by endeavoring to practise yoga outdoors as we enter beautiful spring season and the forthcoming summer.
