Not stretchy or bendy? Get into yoga-ah!

Some people are born with bodies which are naturally flexible…they can bend around easily, turn and twist in whatever direction and way they want. Are you one of those lucky people?? No, don’t be disheartened….not everyone is gifted. And if you are not but want to be then try Yoga…

The practice of yoga helps to make your body flexible and supple over the years. Women tend to be more bendy and stretchy as compared to men. And most men tend to think that since their muscles are not that flexibile yoga isnt the right exercise for them…But NO…thats completely wrong…

Yoga is not only for the flexible…..but it definitely helps you to make your body more supple and flexible…

So want to increase that flexibility…try the following Yoga asanas/poses:

  • Big toes Pose (Padangusthasana)
  • Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana)
  • Child’s pose (Balasana)
  • Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)
  • Extended Triangle Pose (Utthita Trikonasana)
  • Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana)

Here are a few to start with….these asanas helps in lengthening your muscles and making your body more supple and flexible….Yoga has got an answer to almost all your issues…ain’t it?

Always remember one thing, though Yoga makes you flexible it requires time so don’t get impatient….give it some time. You would notice the difference in your body everyday. You would realise that you are able to go a bit further as you progress with your practice…

To help gain that flexibility remember to push out of that comfort zone and don’t stop where it starts paining…because NO PAIN NO GAIN!!
