In our last post we spoke about what Chakras are and how are they important to us. Now that we have a clear idea about the overall science of Chakras lets focus on knowing each one of the them closely and learn ways to keep them healthy……
Starting with the First of the 7….we have the Root Chakra..
We all know by now that the root chakra also know as the Muladhar is located at the base of the spine, the pelvic floor, and the first three vertebrae.
Root chakra governs over our physical energies, giving us a sense of safety and security with other people and ourselves. It is extremely essential to balance this chakra first before balancing the others as from an energetic stand-point it is widely believed that this is where we draw our life force energy from.
First of the chakras of matter, a strong Muladhar is like laying the foundation for a house in which you’re going to live for a long time.
When the Root Chakra is in Balance? You will feel secure in your world and daily tasks will seem effortless. You will not have any doubts about your place in the world and things will work for you
If in Imbalance you may experience anxiety disorders, fears, or nightmares. Physical imbalances may manifest as problems in the colon, with the bladder, with elimination, or with lower back, leg, or feet issues.
Healing the Muladhara:
Using colour therapy: Red is the colour of the root. Start balancing it by picturing a red lotus flower at the base of your spine or lighting red candles while focusing on your root chakra
Crystal Therapy for the Root Chakra: Crystals used for the root include Azurite, Bloodstone, Chrysocolla, Golden Yellow Topaz, Citrine, Red Jasper, Smokey Quartz
Nutrition for the Root Chakra: Eat all red foods, such as red apples, strawberries, red cabbage. Another important thing to include in your diet is roots such as ginger, carrots, or beets, or foods with and foods that are high in protein, such as eggs, meat, beans, nuts
Sound Therapy for the Root Chakra: Chanting “LAM” will have a positive effect and the root also vibrates in harmony to “C” Note. Additionally
One very interesting tip I read somewhere, one of the best ways to balance the root chakras is to just DANCE…!! dont know how to…just don’t bother….shut the door and shake that leg or two…
The next we have the Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana…located in your lower abdomen, about one to two inches below your naval this is the chakra that rules our physical manifestation, is the seat of our creativity
When the Sacral Chakra is in Balance? Your feelings flow freely and you can express yourself without any problems
If in imbalance a person may experience emotional instability, fear of change, sexual dysfunction, depression, or addictions
Healing the Svadhisthana:
Using colour therapy: Orange is the colour of this Chakra. So light orange candles or picture a bright orange flower while focusing on your naval chakra
Crystal Therapy for the Sacral Chakra: Crystals used for the sacral chakra include Hematite, Orange Carnelian, Amber, Orange Calcite, Citrine, Blue Jasper, Red Jasper, Topaz
Nutrition for the Sacral Chakra: Almonds, Cinnamon, Strawberries, Melon, Coconut, Oranges, Mandarins, Water
Sound Therapy for the Sacral Chakra: note “D” is what the Naval chakra vibrates to.
Also, very important….learn to let go….let go of unhealthy emotions, people, and memories…
