Before Travel

Q: When can I book my flight?

A:  After you’ve reserved your place and paid your deposit, please contact us for our suggested flight and airport transfer times before booking your flight, so we can advise. Ideally all guests will travel and arrive at the same time to be picked up from the airport.

Q: Are transfers from the airport included?

A:  We have various ways you can get to the Villa. We provide coach transfers for groups of 8+ for £40, which includes pick up and drop off. There are also private company coaches and taxis available. Check out our transport info on our booking page.

Q: What about health/medical conditions?

A: After you have reserved your space on the retreat we will send you a confidential health questionnaire, including a section on dietary needs/preferences and allergies. This is where you would let us know of a (for example) peanut allergy or recent knee surgery. Please also note our villas do not have internal or external lifts/elevators.

What To Bring

Q: When can I book my flight?

A: Yogamasti mats and blocks are provided. You will need to bring any props such as a resistance band or Pilates ball (your teacher(s) will advise you). You may wish to bring a lightweight blanket or shawl for relaxation. Do bring comfortable clothing that you would wear to your regular yoga classes at home. If you’ve forgotten anything we will have a little pop-up shop with Yoga gear, props and little treats like meditation wraps and jewellery.

Q: Are toiletries provided?

A: Hand soap is provided in all villa bathrooms; you will need to bring your own shower gel, shampoo etc. & don’t forget your sunscreen!

Q: Are towels/hair dryers included?

A: Yes, hand and bath towels are provided in your rooms. Separate towels are available for the pools. However, if you plan to go to the beach, you will need to bring your own towel. Hairdryers are available on a shared basis at both villas.

Q: Will I need to bring cash?

A: It is useful to bring some euros for any short taxi journeys or for paying the therapist if you have chosen to have an individual treatment. Please bear in mind that the nearest ATM is a 5 min car journey/15 minute walk from the villa at the local supermarket/cafe. We are happy to take you there if you ever need emergency cash.

Our Villas

Q: Is there WiFi available?

A: Free WiFi is available and coverage is good throughout our villas/pool area. The password will be given to you on arrival.

Q: Are there drinks/snacks available outside of meal times?

A: Yes. All bottled water, tea, coffee and fruit from the fruit basket is free from the snack station. You can also purchase our power balls and homemade cookies for €2 each. Refrigerated fizzy drinks and juices are also available for €2.

Q: Is wine/alcohol available at the retreat?

A: We don’t provide alcohol with your included meals. However you may purchase a bottle from the kitchen staff and try out one of the local wines. Just check the list of what’s available at the snack station and pick whatever suits your pallet.

Q: What are the swimming pool guidelines?

A: We have two gorgeous private pools for you to take a dip in! We ask that no swimmers wear make-up in the pool as it can cause a chemical imbalance in the water. We also ask that you don’t take the pool towels provided to the beach.

Local Facilities And Activities

Q: Where is the nearest hospital or GP?

A: Denia Hospital is an 11 minute car drive, and there are local GPs throughout Javea.

Q: Where is the nearest supermarket?

A: La Ermita Local Market is a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk from Casa Nirvana.

Q: Where is the nearest beach?

A: Javea beach is 9.7km/20 minute drive. Though the area has lots of other beautiful beaches, too!

Q: What local activities are there to try?

A: Wine tasting (advance booking required – give us a call!), watersports like paddleboarding (advance booking required), bike hire etc. Just drop us an email when you reserve your spot for requests. Please note these extra activities aren’t included in the retreat price.

Q: Are there walking trails nearby?

A: Yes there are beautiful trails to walk – there are footpaths from the villas to explore the Montgó Parc area. Not too far away is an 800 year-old olive tree and a bit further into the hills is a Buddhist Monastery (advance booking required to walk up to the monastery)

Q: Any local events?

A: As well as “fiestas” that punctuate the calendar throughout the year in Spain, look out for the Sunday Market in the centre of Jesús Pobre. The first Sunday of the month is bric a brac and the rest are food & craft-based. Hours vary according to season.

Q: What is involved in the free day trip?

A: This is our chef’s day off. You’ll be provided with a packed lunch and go out on a wonderful excursion! In the evening you’ll eat together at a pre-determined local restaurant or at the day trip destination. Note this is a meal paid by you at a place your group chooses together. On arrival to the retreat we’ll get together with your group and teacher and decide where you’d like to eat! We’ll do our best to provide local knowledge so you can find a meal you’ll love!
